Jessica Sferrazza

Jessica Sferrazza was first elected to the Ward 3 Council seat in November 2000, becoming the youngest Council Member ever elected in the City's history at age 27. Among Jessica's many other accomplishments are:
- National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) Community Service Award recipient in 2008
- "Top 20 under 40" young professionals award recipient in 2007
- United States Department of Urban Development "Most Valuable Partner in Home Ownership" 2007 recipient
- Nevada Women's Fund "Woman of Achievement" 2004 recipient
- Nevada Humane Society "Community Animal Protection" 2002 recipient
- Initiation of a bond question to construct and consolidate a new regional animal shelter which received 60% voter approval in 2002
- Creation of the Affordable Housing Task Force in 2006, bringing together members of the business community and partners in affordable housing
